Nina Lapislazuli Behnisch was born in Leipzig in 1997 and has been working in her own studio in the Tapetenwerk, Leipzig since 2011. Before studying fine arts at the HfBK Dresden – since 2020 in the class for digital and time-based media, Prof. Carsten Nicolai – she studied biology and art history (B.A.) at the University of Leipzig and the University of Bologna. In her artistic work she explores the conceptual interactions between science and art using media like animation, digital drawing, graphics and painting.
